Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a dry syrup agent which can be dispersed rapidly in water and keeps the dispersed state stably for a long period, containing a composite composed of microcrystalline cellulose and a specific water-soluble gum.
CONSTITUTION: Dry syrup composed of (A) at least about 0.5wt% of a composite obtained by combining a water-soluble anionic polymer gum (e.g. carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt) firmly with microcrystalline cellulose, (B) essential components such as effective drug component, sugars, etc., and (C) other optional additives. The syrup can be pelletized by extrusion pelletization, fluidized bed pelletization, etc. The dry syrup thus obtained can be dispersed rapidly in water, and the resulting dispersion is stable for ≥1 month.
