Abstract

PURPOSE: To array a riser connecting portion of a commutator in the same array of conductors in a slot of the commutator by fabricating several types of commutator pieces each having risers axially asymmetrically and combining them suitably to thereby fabricate a commutator having different riser pitch intervals.
CONSTITUTION: Several types of commutator pieces 21 each having risers 22 axially asymmetrically are fabricated by a press work, and suitably combined to match the array of coil conductors to thereby fabricate a commutator having different riser pitch intervals. The risers 22 of the commutator are, for example, shortened elevationally at distance without altering the interval L between conductor ends 16A and 16B, similarly shortened elevationally without altering the interval L between the conductor ends 16C and 16D, circumferentially shortened so that the conductor ends 16B and 16C are partially overlapped, and then connected between the respective conductor ends 16A∼16D and the risers 22. thus, it can array the riser connecting portion of the commutator in the same array of the conductors in a slot of the core without increasing the size of an electric machine.
