Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a servo stage unnecessary by constituting a photo detector by means of CID (charge injection) elements with two-dimensional array, expanding a receiving visual-field angle for attitude control of the opposite target and giving access to the position correspoinding to the laser emitting position in the picture to obtain the data for light communication.
CONSTITUTION: In light communication between warships, it is necessary to compensate the divergence of optical axes generated by rolling and pitching and, when the visual-field is narrow, it is difficult to fit the axes. A scene lincluding a warship is picked up two-dimensionaly by means of a CID image pickup divice. In the Kth frame 4 and the (K+1)th frame 5, the shape and size of warships are the same and their positions are changed. Window 7 consisting of M×N picture elements is set up in frame 4 for correlating calculation and stored in the memory of this region. The directions of x and y axses are scanned in region 7 of picture 5 and the coordinates of correlating max. point to the contents of memory is found. Thus, laser emitting position 8 can be found, so that the signal of this part is picked up and can be demodulated after D/A conversion.
