Said discharge electrode 2 is composed of a supporting rod 2a, and a discharge pin 2b which projects parallel to said dust collecting electrode 1 from the side face of this supporting rod 2a. The auxiliary electrode 3 is disposed as being spaced from the peaked end part of the discharge pin 2b of the discharge electrode 2, by the distance of more than about 1/2 of the spacing between the surface of the auxiliary electrode 3 and the surface of the dust collecting electrode 1.
