Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to control form-passing allowable thickness to the best value by providing a circuit which makes a comparison between thickness of one form and the form-passing allowable thickness and then controls the latter.
CONSTITUTION: One form to be fed is inserted between movable member 33b and fixed member 33c of form-thickness measuring mechanism 33 and the output of potentiometer 33a is applied to control circuit 29 via adjusting resistance 35. Overlap length (t'2) between split roller 21 and feed roller 20 is transmitted from feed roller 20 fitted rotatably to shaft 22 fixed to member 23 capable of moving in an arrow direction to motor 27 by rotary shaft 26 via rack 24 and pinion 25 of member 23. Further, potentiometer 31 applies a voltage to control circuit 29, which calculates the best position of feed roller 20 in comparison with the output of potential meter 33a, so that overlap length (t'2) will be adjusted to the best value by motor 27 via line 28 under the control of the circuit.
