Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain good recording even under conditions of dry state and high humidity and high moisture by providing the conductive layer containing the specific electron conduction type conducting agent and cation or anion type high polymer electrolyte on the surface of a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The coating containing the electron conduction type conducting agent by migration of electrons or holes, e.g., the conducting agent obtained by doping other kinds of metals to ZnO2, SnO2, etc. and high polymer electrode of cation type (quaternary ammonium salt, etc.) or anion type (carboxylate, etc.) together with adhesive agents is prepared. This is coated on one or both surfaces of a substrate to produce the electrostatic recording medium. Thereby, the recording characteristics which are good even in a dry state and under high temperature high humidity conditions such as 30°C, 90%RH may be obtained.
