Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a meeting of wide vessel collision conditions, by improving a fender efficiency of a fender device, by simplifying installation and replacement works, and by improving corrosion-proof property and durability.
CONSTITUTION: A shock absorption block 4 has a buoyancy allowing the block to float, and is composed of an upper block 8, which is made of mainly a brittle fracture meterial 11, such as hard polyurethane foam and the like, and a lower block 9 being made of mainly a plastic deformation material 13 consisting of a metal material, such as thin steel sheets, various types of shape steels, steel pipes and the like, and plastic resin material, such as FRP, PVC and the like. The desired effect can be obtained by adopting a fender constituted in such a manner as mentioned above.
