Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible easy gradation reproduction and stressing of only the dark parts without breaking the highlight and halftone parts of the original by using the combined positive double exposed with the halftone images and dot-free images based on the same original.
CONSTITUTION: An original 1 is exposed to a photosensitive film 3 through a color separating filter 5 and halftone screen 2, whereby a color-separating halftone negative 4 is obtained. On the other hand, a dot-free negative 4' is obtained similarily from another photosensitive film 3' without using the screen 2. Next, a photosensitive film 6 is exposed through the negative 4 and is further double-exposed through the negative 4', whereby the combined positive 6' is obtained. A plate material 7 is contact-exposed to this positive 6' with a transparent film 8 in-between, and is subjected to development, whereby an offset printing plate 9 is obtained.
