Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately estimate the fluorine in organic substance in a short time, by the thermal separation through mixing combustion aid agent in samples (separation by preparatory combustion and perfect combustion).
CONSTITUTION: The absorption tower 5 containing the sodium hydroxide absorption solution is connected to the combustion tube 2 via the cap 3, and the heating furnace 1 is increased for the temperatuer. Next, the combustion aid agent (e.g., tungusten trioxide) is mixed to the organic sample naturally dried for about one to two days and it is contained in the board 6, and this board 6 is connected to the cover 9 via the sample feed set B. Next, the board 6 is moved to the inlet of the combustion tube 2 into natural ignition while the wet oxygen is fed from the generating unit 11 and after preparatory combusion, it is further moved to the maximum temperature part of the combustion tube 2 and in perfect combustion at about 800 to 1100°C for about 20 minutes. The gas produced is fed to the absorption tower 5 and it is absorded in sodium hydroxide into sample solution for analysis.
