Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a roller for use in conveyance comprising sheet-like magnet material wound on and fixed to the surface of a roller-forming member and which is light in weight and adapted for increased mass production.
CONSTITUTION: A length of magnet sheet 12 which is formed of a long, narrow tape strip of material with continuous magnetization is wound on and adhered to the surface of a blank 13 suitable for various uses in a spiral form, to make the desired magnetoroller 14. The blank being used in the present method is not required to be subjected to pretreatment of grinding but merely cutting, and yet can be prepared of plastic molds, thus adapting for increased mass production. Besides, the finished magnetorollers can be made lighter in weight depending on selection of material used. In the magnet sheet made of rubber, magnetization widths of poles N and S can be freely selected; in other words, since the poles can be drawn nearer, it is not required to provide a big magnetic space, thus obtaining the most suitable magnetoroller for use in conveyance.
