Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce electrostatic capacitance and power consumption and improve reliability by arranging conductor meshes where the specified voltage is applied to the ilntermediate area between a fluorescent screen and an electron gun.
CONSTITUTION: The electron gun 6 is accelerated by the constant voltage which is applied to the internal conductive film 11, deflected by the deflection coil 4, and reaches the conductor mesh 13. The voltage giving the desired luminescent color is applied to the fluorescent screen 1 through the anode terminal 3'. The desired luminescent color is changed by varying this voltage. In order to change the electric field which is applied to the electron beam in the very short path from the conductor mesh 13 to the fluorescent screen 1, the deviation of the point arriving on the fluorescent screen can extremely be reduced to the variation of the fluorescent screen voltage.
