Abstract

PURPOSE: To largely reduce the used number of light transmission lines in a device for firing an optical thyristor by integrally light emitting elements provided correspondingly to the respective thyristors as desired and energizing them through photodetectors.
CONSTITUTION: When a light signal is applied through light transmission lines 121∼12m to photodetectors 271∼27m, it becomes low impedance to allow light emitting elements 261∼26n, which generate light emission signals to thereby fire optical thyristors 201∼20n. In this case, two light emitting elements may be connected in parallel, or the power supply for energizing the light emitting elements may employ a voltage dividing circuit separately therefrom. Thus, it can largely reduce the used number of the light transmission lines.
