Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate blow-by gas from lubricating oil and exhaust it out smoothly, by providing balancer shaft with passage opening through which crank room is open to outside.
CONSTITUTION: Provide passage opening 21 on balancer shaft 13. Then, crank room 11 is open to outside via opening 22, passage 21 and connecting room 23. When internal combustion engine 10 starts, crank room 11 is fulfilled with blow-by gas within which minute particles of lubricating oil float. Every descending of piston 16 increases pressure in crank room 11 and expels blow-by gas out via passage opening 21. AT that time, valancer shaft provided with balance weight 17 is in rotation at the same high speed with crank shaft 12, and therefore, oil particles within blow- by gas is separated by centrifugal force and only blow-by gas is sent out into air cleaner 18.
