Abstract

PURPOSE: To reject pulsive noise efficiently, by detecting the high band component more than a given level from the video signal and using the non-corelativity of pulsive noise.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal from the terminal 3A is inputted to the 1H delay line 302 and the high band pick up circuit 303 via the delay line 301. The output of the circuit 303 is delayed by one H period at the shift registers 305 and 306 respectively. After that, the signal from the terminal 3A is fed to the high band component pick up circuit 304. The output of the circuit 304, register 305 and monostable multivibrator 307 is inputted to the discrimination circuit 308 to discriminate the basis of pulsive noise or profile noise taking use of non-core-lativity of pulsive noise and the pulsive noise component-is picked up from the circuit 308. On the other hand, the output of the delay line 302 is fid to LPF 101 and HPF 102, and the pulsive noise component is removed from the output of HPF 102 at the gate circuit 309. The output of the circuit 309 is combined with the output of LPF 101 at the adder 104 via the core ring 310.
