Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect within a short time the fall of Ansatz, by measuring temperatures of the body of blast furnace at a short time interval in order to catch the difference between this detected value and the set value for the front and behind positions as the variation, and by comparing this variation with the previously set value of variation in respect of the case of the fall of Ansatz.
CONSTITUTION: The scanning monitor 3 gathers outputs of plural sets of thermometers installed in the blast furance 2 and inputs them into the computer 4. The computer 4 periodically stores the measured temperature value in the file 5. The anomalous temperature is detected by the anomaly detecting program set in the computer 4, that is the program so called the patroller 6 for excuting the temperature level control and the temperature fluctuation control for the temperature data stored in this file 5. When the anomalous temperature is detected, the chime is struck or the typewriter types out it in order to inform the furnace operator of the fall of Ansatz. Otherwise, the anomalous temperature is displayed as the temperature map 7 on the picture of the CRT (television projector) or the X-ray record 8; thereby, the position of the anomalous temperature in the blast furnace is judged.
