Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lead wires of an annular fluorescent lamp from being projected from the end of a base pin by inserting the lead wires into the lower base, cutting the projected portion, soldering it, supplying the upper base, and screwing it.
CONSTITUTION: A base is attached to an annular fluorescent lamp by the steps of loading a glass tube 10, straining lead wires 11, inserting lower base 13, cutting the lead wires 11, attaching flux thereto, soldering it, supplying upper base 12, tightening screws 14, and unloading the tube 10. There are, for example, provided a glass tube loading unit 1, lead wire strainer 2, a lower base supply unit 3, a lead wire cutter 4, a flux attaching unit 5, a soldering unit 6, an upper base supplying unit 7, a screw tightening unit 8, and an unloading unit 9 around the disk intermittently rotating in cooperation with a drive source to automatically attache the base. Thus, it can prevent projection of lead wires from the base pin occurred upon cutting and soldering of the lead wires 11 after tightening the base 12 as heretofore.
