Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an end cover assembling structure, in which key ways are formed respectively in the inner periphery of casing and the mating section of end cover, and arcuate or spherical keys are inserted into the key ways from a small window formed at a portion where the casing and the end cover are coupled together, whereby it is enabled to eliminate tendency of keys to turn over or tilt slantwise and at the same time to make the casing compact.
CONSTITUTION: Key ways 1b, 2b are formed respectively in inner peripheral surface 1a of casing 1 and in mating outer peripheral surface 2a of end cover 2, in the manner that a single key 6 is embraced by the casing 1 and end cover 2. A small window 10 continuous to key ways 1b, 2b is formed at a portion where inner peripheral surface 1a of casing 1 and outer peripheral surface 2a of end cover 2 are coupled together, for allowing only one key to pass therethrough. From this window 10, arcuate keys 6 obtained by dividing a ring into a plurality of sections are inserted into the key ways such that they are placed along the intire length of key ways, and then window 10 is closed by a suitable means. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to eliminate tendency of keys to turn over or tilt slantwise due to axial force acted in the casing, and fixing of keys can be accomplished by a relatively small fixing means. Thus, the entire structure can be made compact and simple.
