Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the increase in the ripple of a rectifier or its low-frequency osillation in terms of the release of a detection relay, by always putting the detection relay in operation by a detection signal supplied through a signal suppression circuit and a transformer provided in the output circuit of the rectifier.
CONSTITUTION: A frequency signal f0 for detection is supplied from an oscillator OSC to a transmission transformer T1 provided in an output circuit having a filter SC. The frequency signal f0 superposed on the ripple-containing DC output of a rectifier RE is received by a reception transformer T2, passed through a limiter LIM and selected by a selective amplifier SA to always put the detection relay RY in operation. When the ripple of the output of the rectifier RE increase abnormally, the limiter LIM is saturated and the frequency signal f0 is suppressed to fall to release the detection relay RY. The abnormal increase in the ripple is thus detected. The increase in the ripple or the oscc occurrence of the low-frequency oscillation can be always supervised.
