Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure an automatic estimation for the nonlinear transmission line by controlling the gain and phase of the variable gain circuit and the variable gain control circuit via the error signal between the output signal of the transmission filter equivalent circuit and the corresponding reference signal of the double series.
CONSTITUTION: Nonmemory-type nonlinear element 22 is connected in series to the output of transmission filter equivalent circuit 7, and the double-series signal is delivered from reception filter equivalent circuit 23 which features the characteristics different from nonmemory-type nonlinear element 5 and the same characteristics as circuit 7. Then the gain and the phase of variable gain control 4 and variable phase gain circuit 6 are controlled via the error signal between the output signal of circuit 7 and corresponding double-series reference signals 10 and 11. Thus an automatic estimation becomes possible for the nonlinear transmission line.
