Abstract

PURPOSE:To concentrate attention on scrap flow by detecting thermal energy radiated from scraps generated in cutting operation and comparing the output signals with the reference value. CONSTITUTION:A detector part 1 which detects the thermal energy radiated from scraps is equipped at a determined distance from where scraps are produced, detects the thermal energy radiated from scraps generated and heated during cutting and inputs it to an amplifier 2 as electrical signals. With this amplifier 2 is connected a comparator 3A. In this comparator 3A is memorized a set point A, when an output value S from an amplifier 2 is greater than the set point A a signal B is output.
