Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an oil-water separator having excellent separating capacity for waste liq., by equipping an outer cylinder with an inner cylinder therein at a prescribed distance from the outer cylinder wall, by equipping the inner cylinder with a vertical waste liq.-charging cylinder therein, and by installing weirs at the inside peripheries of the outer and inner cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: In an outer bottomed cylinder 1 equipped with rakes 8 and with central outlet 9 at the bottom is arranged vertically an inner cylinder 2, which opens at the lower end, at a constant interval between the internal wall of the outer cylinder 1 and the outer wall of the inner cylinder 2. In the inner cylinder 2 is arranged a vertical waste liq.-charging cylinder 3 whose top opens near the lower part of the cylinder 2. Weir rings 4, 5 of deep groove-shape having respectively liq.-discharging pipes 10, 11 are installed at the inner peripheries of upper parts of the outer and inner cylinders 1, 2. The liq. overflows weir plates 41, 51, attached respectively to the weir rings 4, 5 to weir frame 40, 50. At the upper part of the charging cylinder 3 is installed a waste liq.-charging pipe 13, and a water feeding pipe 14 through which treated water delivered by way of the liq.-discharging pipe 11 is supplied through a cushion tank 16 for separated water and a circulating heater 15 to the charging cylinder 3.
