Abstract
PURPOSE:Three or more of cylinders are independently ignited by installing: rotor having the same number of controllers as cylinders, a plurality of detectors whose conductivity is controlled by controller revolution, resistor combination circuit, and comparator with different reference voltage. CONSTITUTION:When the rotor 24 starts to clockwise rotate in synchronization with the engine through the shaft 24d, photo elements 28, 29 are turned on. Their output voltages A1, A2 and output voltage A from signal generator 23 become L. During rotation, controllers 24a, 24b, and 24c intercept light pass between the photoreceptors 28, 29 and photoemitter 26, 27, causing voltage A, A1, A2 to vary to H, L. Accordingly, output voltages of comparators 35, 36 and inverter 37 becomes C1 to C3 to sequently connect transistors 38 to 40, generating output current D1 to D3. The current is outoff at different times according to the revolution angle of the rotor 24. This prevents high ignition voltages to occur at the same time to the ignition coils 41 to 43.
