Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable recopying operation to be correctly and smoothly accomplished by providing the display which instructs how to place copying paper at the time of recopying by the hand insertion table. CONSTITUTION:The cover C1 of a paper feed cassette C is used as a hand insertion table and the indices M1, M2, M3 which indicate the right and left as well as the position of the rear side defined by the position of the front size of various sizes, e.g., B5, A4, B4 sizes, etc. of transfer paper, are provided on the inside surface of its opening and closing part and on the top surface of the remaining part. In addition, the instructions for the direction where the copying paper is to be placed at the time of both-side copying is displayed on the hand insertion table. Now, at the time of performing interrupt copying of, e.g., B5 size, the transfer paper P1 of B5 size is placed on the hand insertion table and with its right and left sides and rear side being matched to the index M1, the copying operation is done, thence acording to the way of binding, the transfer paper having undergone one-side copying is subjected to copying operation again directly or after it has been turned 180 deg. and matched to the index M1. In this way, both-side copying may be performed through simple operation.
