PURPOSE:To improve the quality of product as well as raise yield by enlarging both the diameter D and the width W of the mixing roller in a W/D ratio of more than 0.42. CONSTITUTION:The mixer consists primarily of the fixed mixing pan 1 of a circle form, the power axle 2, and the crank shaft 3 which is coupled with the power axle 2 and rotatably supports the mixing roller 6 through the arm 5 at a point where the left and right crank pins are centered. The ratio of the diameter D of the roller 6 to the width W of the roller 6 is set to more than 0.42 and also the pressure of the roller 6 to be applied on powdery granular materials is set to not less than 50kg/cm<2>. A twisting effect resulting from difference in relative speed between the circumferential speed of the roller 6 and the speed of the pan 1 bottom at the points A and B of the width W of the roller 6 can be highly exhibited and thus mixing action can be accelerated.
