Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce external force affecting the caisson body by lessening resistance force to the sinking of the caisson body.
CONSTITUTION: The lowest portion 24 of the caisson body is positioned on the subsoil 10 for sinking the caisson. A groove hole 26 is excavated along the inner surface 26 of the lowest portion of the body using a stabilizing liquid such as bentonite liquid. With an external force applied on the lowest portion thereof, the caisson body is sunk under the ground. Thereafter, the extension of the caisson body, excavation of the groove hole 28 and the sinking of the caisson body are repeated in sequence until a given depth is reached. Subsequently, the groove hole 28 is excavated down the lowest portion of the body and the stabilizing liquid in the groove hole 28 is solidified around the lowest portion of the body from the bottom of the groove hole 30. Thereafter, the subsoil 10 in the caisson body is excavated down to the lowest portion thereof, discharging soil. A bottom bed board 34 is installed to be combined to the lowest portion of the caisson body.
