CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of the external air is higher than a set level in the summer season or the like, the pressure of the coolant is higher than a set level and a pressure switch 19a of a pressure sensor 19 is closed. Turning on a switch 22 in that case, an electromagnetic clutch 3 is engaged to drive the compressor 2 by an engine 1 and start cooling operation through an evaporator 9. When the coolant leaks due to some cause, its pressure falls and the electromagnetic clutch 3 is disengaged through the pressure sensor 19 to stop the compressor 2. At that time, a transistor 23a of a discrimination circuit 23 is turned off due to the opening of the pressure switch 19a and a potential almost equal to that of a power source appears on an output terminal 23b to drive an alarm 24.
