Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the revolutions of the pull side motor to be readily controlled by inserting a resistor in series to the wire feed motor for push side welding which is phase-controlled.
CONSTITUTION: In the firing period of a thyristor 2, a transistors 5 is OFF and therefore the current from a motor 6 flows through a voltage dividing resistance 7 and the voltage to be applied to the motor 6 becomes the voltage having been resistance-voltage-divided from the input voltage by the motor 6 and voltage dividing resistance 7. In the induced voltage period, the transistor 5 goes ON and the voltage for the induced voltage component is applied to the motor 6. Hence, the voltage waveform of the motor 6 becomes the voltage suited for small motor of less pulsation components. Further, the motor 6 in rotated by the induced voltage of push side motor 1 only, by removing the dividing resistance 7. Then, if the pull side motor 6 of adequate characteristics is selected, the numbers of revolutions of the push-, pull-motors 1, 6 may be synchronized with ease.
