Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to efficiently illuminate a sample with high frequency waves by repeatedly effecting irradiations of the frequency necessary for the multiplex resonance in a timely divided manner.
CONSTITUTION: The frequency of a variable frequency oscillator 5 which can have its oscillatory frequency interchanged in a short period is set at the resonant frequency of a decoupling nuclei and is used to continuously irradiate a probe 3 to bring a sample into a resonant condition so that detection 9 is made to determine the resonant spectrum in a recorder 11. The frequency corresponding to the peak level appearing in the spectrum is stored in a designating circuit 8, according to which the oscillator 5 divides the time of the decoupling frequency within a short period in a repeated manner to irradiate the probe 3. If, under this condition, the observing high frequency of the resonant frequency is fed to the probe 3 thereby to irradiate the sample, the spin-spin coupling is completely separated so that the desired sharp resonant spectrum can be generated.
