CONSTITUTION:The first grid electrode 23 has the non-disk type elliptical electron beams passing hole 23a and its long axis which is slightly inclined from the Y axis. When the electron beam radiated from the cathode 2 pass through this first grid electrode, direction (y) receives weaker focussing and the crossover of the electron beams moves on the fluorescent screen side. This moves the image point in the direction of (y) on the fluorescent screen side on it. By focussing the image point on the fluorescent screen in both the directions (x) and (y), the shape of the beam spots is made round.
