Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a simple and small type of constitution by a method wherein a valve which closes when a reaction piston performs a stroke more than a fixed quantity is provided in a control valve system which controls the supply of the braking liquid pressure from a main pump to a wheel cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid discharged by a main pump 10 driven by an engine returns to a reserver 11 through a pipe 13, a control valve 14 and a power steering 16. On the occasion, the liquid discharged by the main pump 10 is supplyed to and discharged from a wheel cylinder 31 only through the passage 61 of the reaction piston 55 of the control valve 14. Moreover, the valve 14 is provided with a valve 65 which closes the passage 61 only when the reaction piston 55 performs a stroke more than a fixed quantity, as well as a usually-closed valve 66 which is opened by the reaction piston 55 through the intermediary of the valve 65. Accordingly, when the main pump gets trouble, the liquid discharged by an auxiliary pump 36 can be supplied to the wheel cylinder 31 without passing the same through the valve 14.
