A signal read out from this RAM100 is D/A-converted by D/A converter 73, whose output is supplied to correcting horizontal deflecting method 90 via driving circuit 28. The horizontal linearity is corrected by deflecting method 90 to nearly equalize the scanning speed of electron beams, so that the frequency of an index signal will become nearly constant.
