Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain porcelain used for elastic surface wave element having excellent denseness and uniformity by adding water and binder to temporarily calcined raw material powder, mixing them, pulverizing them, defoaming them, and pressing mud cake thus obtained while dehydrating it. CONSTITUTION:Water and binder are added to temporarily calcined powder obtained in a step 5 of pulverizing it, and large quantity of water is added thereto in a step 10 of adding it. Then, the mixture is mixed and finely pulverized in a step 11 of mixing and pulverizing, defoamed in a step 12 of defoaming it to obtain a cake. It is then pressed to be formed while dehydrating it using a press having a pressing surface formed with porous holes communicating with the water absorbing path in the step 13 of forming it, and executed in a step 9 of primarily calcining it to obtain a porcelain.
