CONSTITUTION:For the fixed head VTR possessing the tracking servo function, post-recording head 16 capable of the unified shift with video head 15 is provided on the tracking position detecting track of the magnetic tape and with a fixed relative position secured to head 15. Head 16 doubles the tracking position detecting head. The aural signal doubling the tracking position detecting signal is recorded through head 16 while the picture signal is being recorded through head 15. Thus the tracking position detecting track can be directly used for the post-recording purpose, and as a result the lowering of the recording density due to the post- recording can be prevented.
