Abstract

PURPOSE:A cosmetic emulsion composition having improved storage stability without using an emulsifying agent, fine feeling in makeup and safety, obtained by blending a composite material of a water-soluble high polymer substance and a microcrystalline cellulose with oil and water. CONSTITUTION:An emulsion composition comprising A) 2-15wt% of a composite material consisting of 5-25wt% of a water-soluble high polymer substance (e.g., CMC-Na, etc.) and 95-75wt% of a microstalline cellulose, B) water, and C) 3-85wt% of oil as essential ingredients. A proper combination of oil components, in states of solid, half-solid, or fluids, can be used as the oil. The selection of the kinds of oil and the combination material, and the amount of oil will provide the preparation of various cream or milky lotion. Since an emulsifying agent is not used practically nor completely, the amount of spice required to deodorize the emulsifying agent can be reduced to the minimum amount required. Consequently, a safe cosmetic with little trouble to the skin can be obtained.
