Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain stabilized watertight property by enveloping and fixing watertight relief ring with hollow cavity within the overlapped clearance of each cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Sealed off air within the watertingt relief ring with hollow cavity tunes with the outside depth pressure, changing its pressure ahead of the flexibel contact wall 1 having thick wall, actuated by the action of the pressure receiving diaphragm 2 which is elastic and flexible, in accordance with the change of the outside depth pressure. The sealed off air pushes the inside surface of the flexible contact wall 1 outwardly, ballancing with the outside depth pressure which presses the outside surface of the wall 1 inwardly with ring wall inbetween the two pressures. Against the variation of air volume within the watertight relief ring to occur in accordance with the variation of clearance around the overlapped clearance protion to be generated by the rocking of the cylinder, no change of pressure is observed at the sealed off air, and presses each side part of the cylinder 13 with constant and stabilized pressure at all times, wherein elasticity peculiar to the material forming the flexible pressure wall 1 is helping the maintenance of pressure stability. Accordingly, stabilized watertight property is maintained by automatically coping with the variation of pressure and change of clearance.
