Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain title labeled product, useful for biological study and medical application, by the reaction of an acid mucopolysaccharide such as hyaluronic acid with fluoresceinamine, in an acid or neutral aqueous medium, in the presence of a dehydration-condensation agent.
CONSTITUTION: A fluorescence-labeled acid mucopolysaccharide selected from hyaluronic fluoresceinamide, condroitin-4-sulfuric fluoresceinamide, condroitin-6- sulfuric fluoresceinamide, heparin sulfuric fluoresceinamide and dermatansulfuric fluoresceinamide, and their derivatives, is prepared, by reacting an acid mucopolysaccharide selected from hyaluronic acid, condroitin-4-sulforic acid, condroitin-6- sulfuric acid, heparin, heparansulfuric acid and dermatansulfuric acid, and their derivatives, with fluoresceinamine, in an acid or neutral aqueous medium, in the presence of a dehydration-condensation agent.
