Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an efficient production of a thin film silicone rubber sheet having a uniform thickness and appearance as well as a high yield by a method wherein a silicone rubber sheet containing inorganic filler agent therein is vulcanized by pressing while it is contacted with a resin film.
CONSTITUTION: Resin films 2 having a thermal deformation temperature higher than 100°C, e.g. polyethylene film, fulorine resin film are placed at both sides of the non-vulcanized silicone rubber sheet 1 having dispersed inorganic filler agent, then the press 3 is closed to heat them up and to press, and the silicone rubber sheet is vulcunized. After vulcanization, the resin films 2 are peeled off to provide a vulcanized silicone rubber sheet. At this time, some cushion materials 4 such as a paper or rubbers etc. may be placed. When there are much volume of filler agents or when the sheet has an extremely thin thickness, a high reate of splitting at the sheet may be found, but a rate of splitting is extremely decreased due to an application of the films 2 having exfoliating property.
