CONSTITUTION:Operator 2 performs a prescribed address operation according to detection signal AP corresponding to size of the aperture, actual I/O density level signal (k) dependent upon the aperture, and instruction signal SP instructing scanning or plotting. Gamma correction values are stored in ROM3 according to various aperture size. A prescribed gamma correction value is called according to address signal AD of operator 2 and is output through buffer memory 4 as correction density level signal k'. Thus, pictures can be always input and output in a uniform density level only by mounting the aperture.
