Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When silver is recovered from a photographic bleach-fix bath contg. the ferric complex of aminopolycarboxylic acid as a bleaching agent by substituting Al for silver ions, the complex is previously reduced with a reducing agent such as dithionite or phosphite, preferably sodium hydrosulfide, and then the bath is contacted to Al metal for an enough time to completely finish substitution reaction of the Al metal for silver ions.
