Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a filter circuit simple and compact, by modulating reference sinusoidal waves by high-frequency waves, changing the modulated signal back into the sinusoidal waves as an AC output and applying a portion of the output to a multiplication circuit through a voltage comparison circuit. CONSTITUTION:The clock signal of an oscillation circuit 1 is frequency-divided by a frequency division circuit 2, the output of which is applied to a sinusoidal wave generation circuit 3. The sinusoidal output of the circuit 3 is applied to a multiplication circuit 4 together with a signal which is produced by supplying a portion of an output to a voltage comparator 14. The output of the multiplication circuit is applied to a comparator 6 together with the triangular output of a triangular wave generation circuit 8 to perform pulse width modulation. The output of the comparator is separated by a signal separation circuit 7, the output of which is entered into a DC/AC conversion circuit 9. A DC input 10 is changed into a sinusoidal AC output. Since the modulation is effected by higher harmonic, the cut-off frequency of a filter can be set high and it can be made compact and simple.
