Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of an oscillator by providing a radial choke between the oscillator and multiplier. CONSTITUTION:Oscillator 1 and multiplier 2 are coupled together by resonator 12 operating as a frequency stabilizing and input matching circuit. Between resonator 12 and varactor diode 21, radial choke 20 is provided to permit the fundamental wave to pass through it, stopping higher harmonics outputted from multiplier 2. Consequently, the output of multiplier 2 never detours to oscillator 1 and a mode jump can be eliminated. Because of no leakage of a higher harmonic output, the output of multiplier 2 can be increased.
