Abstract
PURPOSE: An adhesive composition capable of forming durable firm films, bondable to metal surfaces even at high temperatures, comprising a specific organosilicon compound and an iron salt of a fatty acid.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive composition comprising (A) a mixture of (a) 0W99 wt. % of a polyorganosiloxane having 1.980W2.002 monofunctional (un) substituted hydrocarbon groups directly bonded to one silicon atom, and 0.5 mole % or less of which is vinyl group, and a viscosity ≥ 100,000cst at 25°C, (b) 1W100 wt. % of a polyorganosiloxane having 1.9W2.3 monofunctional (un)substituted hydrocarbon groups directly bonded to one Si atom, 0.5 mole % or more of which is vinyl group, and a viscosity ≥ 5cst at 25°C, and (B) 1W100 wt. % of an organosilicon compound of formula II: (R2 is monofunctional hydrocarbon group) having an roganic group of formula I: (R1 is H or methyl group) dinectly bonded to the Si atom, and (C) 0.1W20 wt. %, preferably 0.1W100 wt. % based on (B), of an iron salt of a fatty acid, e.g. iron octoate or laurate.
