Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a large operating force required when a manual operation of the valve is needed by a method wherein an emergency operation energizing mechanism is made possible permitting both connected or disconnected statuses.
CONSTITUTION: Under an emergency condition to shut off the valve in which only the 17th crutch 13 is engaged, the stopper 25 maintains a vertical posture of the pressure receiving member 22 against the energizing mechanism 24 when the operation is to be performed under a condition having pressure less than the dynamic pressure of the fluid. Oscilating displacement of the pressure receiving member 22 against said energizing mechanism 24 which is performed under an action of the dynamic pressure of an abnormal flow is electrically sensed by the mechanism 26, and the displacement sensing mechanism 26 and the releasing mechanism 18 are electrically correlated. Under such an arrangement as described above, when an abnormal flow is sensed by the pressure receiving member 22, a fixing of the stopper 16 is automatically released against the energizing mechanism 6 in cooperation with the sensing operation, and then the valve 4 is immediately stopped or shut off.
