Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the sheet of hard fiber board having good physical properties even when it is made thin by a method wherein a metal net having specified ranges of diameters of element wires and intervals between them is laid on the lower surface of a manufactured pulp sheet and formed by heat and in pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A metal net 2 with specified element wire diameters of 0.2W0.4mm and specified element wire intervals of 0.8W1.2mm, is inserted between heating plates 6 and formed by heat and in pressure, as a dectorating plate is laid on the upper surface of the net and the net is put between a buffer plate 4 and a metal plate 5 for mounting the pulp sheet. In the paper obtained, since the sunk depth of the net-work is about 0.1W0.3, the density of the fiber becomes microscopically uniform and the heat conductivity is improved, greater bonding strength is obtained when the surface of the fiber plate comes in contact with the metal net and, further, since the intervals between the element wires are small as before-mentioned, more fibers are coiled around the element wires and, as a result, the releasing strength is considered to be improved remarkably.
