PURPOSE:To make the repeater through in order to give no effect to the main line, by switching forcedly the input of the output converter to the side of the input converter before discontinuation of the function of the slave station in case the power supply is cut off for the slave station. CONSTITUTION:Master station M is connected several slave stations S via optical transmission line TL. And the data is transmitted via repeater SU provided to line TL which is provided in correspondence to stations M and S. Repeater SU includes input circuit RV containing the photoelectric converter plus output converter DV containing the electro-optic converter each. And gate G5 is closed with gate G3 opened each by output signal CBPS of detecting circuit DET in case the power supply is cut off for station S and in the process during which the voltage level of station S turns to zero.
