Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a machining device which can self-travel while moving a tool along a desired route on an acute-angle part or a tridimensional curved surface. CONSTITUTION:Three rollers 2, 3, 4 are provided on the body 1 of a traveling truck so that a triangle is defined by the rollers. The roller 2 is used as a driving roller. The roller 3 is used as a driven roller. The roller 4 is used as a driven roller around a tool (cutter) 13. A guide rail 9 is provided at a prescribed distance from a machining surface and pinched among the rollers so that the truck 1 is supported. The truck is moved along the guide rail 9 by the driving roller 2. Desired machining T is performed by the cutter 13. The thrusting forces of the rollers for pinching are maintained by a fluid cylinder 8.
