Abstract

PURPOSE: To give almost constant stress to the test sample to carry out the test, by hooking the spring over the area between the fixed supporter and the mobile supporter and then applying the fluctuating stress to the sample in the state under which the average stress is being given to the sample via the spring mentioned above.
CONSTITUTION: Nut 5 is unfastened to give the free vertical motion to fixed supporter 4 along support 2, and the tension is caused to each spring 10 when supporter 4 is raised up with operation of fixed supporter lifting mechanism 26. As a result, the average stress is applied to each test sample 9 by each spring 10. Under these conditions, nut 5 is tightened to fix supporter 4, and then motor 13 is driven. Thus the fluctuating stress whose fluctuating width is almost constant is applied to each sample 9 by vibrating mechanism 12 via mobile supporter 3.
