Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the position of a transfer body to be readily detected from piston position by communicating and connecting a pair of cylinder chambers of a piston and cylinder mechanism respectively by means of pressure conduit pipes to a reference volume pipe connected to the flowmeter to be calibrated.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of cylinders 13a, 13b of a piston and cylinder mechanism 12 are communicated and connected to the approximate center of a reference volume pipe 2 connected to the flowmeter 3 to be calibrated. Thereupon, a transfer body 4 is displaced rightward while expelling the liquid in the reference volume pipe 2 by the high pressure liquid supplied through piping 10. At this time, the pressure behind the transfer body 4 pressing the transfer body 4 is higher than the pressure before the transfer body 4. Hence, from this pressure relation, the piston 14 of the piston and cylinder mechanism displaces in the same direction as that of the displacement of the moving body 4. From the position of the piston 4, i.e., the positions of the piston rods 14a, 14b, the right and left positions of the moving bidy 4 may be readily detected.
