Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the variation of flywheel capacity easy and to facilitate the assembly and disassembly by installing the flywheel of a vertical shaft at the highest portion. CONSTITUTION:A hole is dug in the ground 8. A generator-motor having a flywheel 1, wherein a flywheel 1, a generator 3, and a motor 4 are installed to a rotary shaft 2. The flywheel 1 is installed at the highest portion and is supported by a thrust bearing 5. Guide bearings 7 and 6 are provided between the bottom of the thrust bearing 5 and the generator 3, and between the generator 3 and the motor 4, respectively. In this constitution, is obtained the generator-motor which is easy to assemble and disassemble, and in which the capacity of the flywheel can be varied easily. Therefore, the supporting structure is strengthened, lateral swing and noise are made small, the hole to be perforated is made small, and the construction cost can be reduced.
