Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device by constituting the electric power source by which high voltage and low voltage are separately applied to a discharge electrode thereby making the electrode power source higher in efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The high-voltage part 6 and DC low-voltage part 7 of an electrode power source 5 is connected to an electrode 3 through a switching part 8. First, spark discharge is generated in the electrode 3 by the voltage of the high-voltage part 6, after which the direct current is flowed from the low-voltage part 8 to the electrode through the switching part 8. The switching part 8 is formed by the switch mechanism 10 interlocking to the discharge start switch 9. Such separate constitution of the high-voltage part and low-voltage part enables the miniaturization of the conventional transformer for electrode power source having a capacity of 80W to about 10W and about 1/8 in weight, hence the miniaturization of the fusion-welding device.
